About Your Trip

My goal is to provide an educational and entertaining day on the water for the novice as well as the more accomplished angler.  Our day will include discussion and instruction regarding:

• Reading new water
• Baits and Presentation
• Electronics
• Boat Control
• Location/habitat
• LIFE and all that is MUSKIE!

We will fish rain or shine, but will seek shelter during serious weather, including lightning.

Lakes I Guide On.....

Lake Mille Lacs is a 132,000 acre inland ocean with a fishery to match it's imposing size.  Long known as a walleye capital, "The Big Pond" has become one of the best muskie fisheries in the world for both size and numbers.  50lb fish are a possibility - many believe the next Minnesota State Record will come from Mille Lacs.  Could the next record holder be YOU? The sheer size and diversity of structure/habitat have made this lake one of my favorites.

I will also guide on other Minnesota lakes, including some of the large northern lakes as well as some right in the Twin Cities metro area.  Please contact me with  your plans, and I will do my best to accommodate any requests.

Night fishing.....

Night fishing during the summer months can be a very rewarding experience.  Tangling with a muskie in the darkness is something not soon forgotten.  Please contact me with any questions you may have regarding a night trip.  These excursions are typically 4-5 hrs duration.

Rates.....

• Full Day - $400 (includes up to 2 people)
• Half Day- $275 (includes up to 2 people)
• Follow boats - $75 per day
• 3rd Person (half or full day) - $50

A full day is considered AT LEAST 8 hours, but typically runs as long as clients want to fish.  Half days typically run 4-5 hours. Please inquire about Corporate Trips and multiple day discounts.

A $50 deposit is required to secure your date of choice.  This deposit is refundable with 30 days notice or may be applied to an alternate date.

Equipment.....

What I Supply

The Boat - For the '05 season, we will fish comfortably from a Ranger 620T powered by a Yamaha 115 4-stroke.  Lowrance electronics and Minn-Kota trolling motors will help with boat control.

Rods and Reels - I can supply all the tackle needed for our day on the water, but clients are encouraged to bring their favorites.Please contact me prior to your trip and we can discuss tackle options.Rods are Thorne Bros. Custom and reels are from Shimano.

I can also provide digital photos and video upon request.

I have several resources available for lodging, also.  Please contact me with any requests.

What To Bring

• Valid Minnesota fishing license
• Camera
• Hat and sunglasses/sunscreen
• Lunch/Beverages (the option may exist for a sandwich/burger on the lake)
• Rain Gear
• Clothing and footwear appropriate for the season and conditions.
• PMA (Positive Muskie Attitude)
• Muskies are 100% Catch and Release(Replica can be arranged through Fittante Taxidermy)
